Nicolas Cage was born on January 7, 1964. He is quite famous for his acting career. Many people also know Cage because of his brief marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis' daughter.

Nicolas wanted to distinguish himself as his own individual and wanted no favors because of his family. So, he chose to change his last name to Cage.

When asked why choose the name Cage, he replied that the name came from the comic book character Luke Cage. Luke Cage was the first black superhero. Nicolas Cage's very first movie was 1982's Fast Times At Ridgemont High. He had a small role, but he has certainly made up for it since then. Nicolas Cage has been in several excellent films.
