David Freddoso Publishes The Case Against Barack Obama

David Freddoso is publishing a book entitled The Case Against Barak Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate. It will apparently be the first critical book about Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee for President.

David Freddoso is an investigative reporter and a columnist for National Review Online. Before working for NRO, David Freddoso worked for conservative columnist Robert Novak on the Evans and Novak Political Report and as a reporter for Human Events Magazine.

The most that can be said about The Case Against Barack Obama by David Freddoso is that as a critique it will have a target rich subject. David Freddoso will no doubt cover the extreme left wing policies, the unfortunate associations (Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, et al), and his lack of experience, poor judgment, and tendency to be duplicitous that describes Barack Obama.

David Freddoso's book will join a rich tradition of campaign year books that attack one candidate or another from a particular, political point of view. The most famous of such books in recent memory was Unfit for Command by John O'Neill, a book written on behalf of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that casted a caustic view on the military and political record on Senator John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic nominee for President.

Both George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, controversial presidents in their own way, have attracted a slew of critical books, attacking them or some aspect of them.
The best attack book against George W. Bush was written by the late Molly Ivins, a left wing Texas pundit. It was entitled Shrub: The Short But Happy Political Life of George W. Bush. Shrub (Ivins was the person who coined the insulting nickname for the President) eschewed some of the more sensational attacks on the then Governor of Texas and concentrated on what Ms. Ivins considered shady business and political dealings.
