1. Wedding Invitations.
When thinking about your wedding invitations, first know what kind of layout you would like. Then find a card dealer online who can do the printing on whatever color paper you want, and they usually also include the envelopes. Now the way to save money is to add a little bit of your time into it and "dazzle" them up for a fraction of what they would have cost you. The first thing that we did was to buy some colored cardstock and some glue and attached the card that the internet dealer gave you to the cardstock. This is an easy and affordable way to strengthen the card and to add a simple border to it. Then to give the card a little extra "oomph", we bought some ribbon for about a buck and wrapped it around the side of the card. It was a very nice and inexpensive add-on that made the difference in the cards. You just have to think creatively about it.
2. Wedding Dress.
Probably a touchy subject because every bride wants their own dress and wants a new one that is just for them. Well if you want that, you just have to search for it. My wife actually bought her dress at a local dress shop and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and the fact that she only paid $500.00 for it was just icing on the cake.
Now if you don't mind wearing a used dress, you can find some really great deals online through e-bay.com on a lot of very nice wedding dresses. Also you can look through your classified ads in your local newspaper. You will be surprised at the quality of some of the dresses in there. One other place you might want to check it resale places in your local area that sell other people's clothing and give a cut of the money back to the original owner and it gives you a great deal on a beautiful dress.
The last option is to wear your mother's wedding dress, which is FREE. You just might need to have it altered to fit.
