The Catdog Chronicles
Part 1

What made me write these many months and not publish? I am not sure, but I know giving up writing would be giving up the survivor and fighter in me. Through the next few days, weeks, or even months (whatever it takes), journey along in the eyes of a catdog. Cry and laugh, sing and yell, whatever floats your fancy. Please know not one of the following in the Chronicles was written recently. I took the advice of a dear friend, William, and made my coffee table notebook. Funny thing is, last night my coffee table broke in about 8 pieces (we won't say how), and lo and behold, shining brightly and meowing so loudly; the Catdog Chronicles called their time to shine. When words are no longer enough
Actions a must, no matter how tough
The words I craved so long, yearned for
I don't believe even matter anymore
In the past week, all that's been said between us
No words can assure me, nothing left to discuss
All the times I tried to grab; involve you
I no longer care to share, don't want to
Leaving you, not having a clue as to what is going on
Living each day together, you've never queried upon
Anything in which I have confidently shared
A lecture, all I receive, left to feel impaired
I cannot try any harder, nothing left, than what I have
The energy to fight, the will to live, left on a sudden wave
As quickly as the love came
The doubt of it, I took claim
Therefore, anything you have to say
Your actions are all I will see this day
Actions speaking louder than your words
True feelings you have, answer disturbs
All the time I have wasted, only trying to make love happen
Never grows, no matter the time invested, face slappened
Now knowing love don't grow on trees
Never to be my contagious disease
I do believe you honestly thought you could
Learn to love someday, told yourself you would
Still hasn't happened thus far; no, not yet
Times running out my darling, I do fret
Memories, the only remainder of you,
If actions aren't seen soon to be true.
