I am in college and of course extremely low on money.  Most people in college are in the same position as I am.  My freshman year I was trying to figure out how I was going to eat.  I did not know how to cook for myself and I would eat McDonalds everyday.  I would spend about twenty-dollars per day eating out only because I did not want to grocery shop and cook for myself.  Now in this article you will learn how I ate and only spent twenty-dollars per week!

Takeaways
  • Eating all this is better than eating McDonalds everyday, am I wrong?
  • The George Foreman Grill is just amazing.
  • Remember that you have to work with what you have.
Did You Know?
If you spend twenty-dollars a week on food for two semesters you will only spend three-hundred and sixty dollars per school year on groceries.

I lived off of Top Romman and Popcorn one year. I know all about making that dollar stretch. I am a college student as well.

For a college student on a budget I expected ramen noodles in there somewhere. Great ideas!

Resourceful, Steve! Glad I'm not in college. :). Believe me, though if you ever have kids, shopping on a budget will come in handy!

lol I think college students learn pretty quickly that to eat, you need to spend less! We do a bunch of shopping at dollar stores and what not to get food because we know if we don't, we wont have any.

lol, love this article. I'm not in college anymore just a starving writer and new business owner, and I do the same thing. I take $20 go to the grocery, get romen noodles, mac and cheese, kroger pizza's, 75 cent bread, eggs, basically anything that will cost less then a buck. I eat to live, not live to eat, so what your doing, well it may need to be done for now, but you'll look back and tell stories about it 10 years from now.
