I hated it when my whole senior class graduated and all my close friends moved off to other colleges.  Some of my friends got football scholarships or just preferred to go to school out of state.  I have found a fun way to keep in touch with all these friends online.  The internet is so wonderful when it comes to keeping in touch with your friends.  In this article you will see how you can keep in touch with your friends using the internet.

E-MAIL
Using email is an excellent way of keeping in touch.  You can e-mail your friends when something crazy has happened in your life.  Say that the college life is getting you down and you need to vent to your usual friend just like in high school.  E-mailing them is a perfect way to vent about things to your friends.

MYSPACE
Now myspace has been around since I have been in high school.  I used to think that it was weird for people to have myspace and never say any use for it.  The reason I found no use for it in high school is because I saw all my friends day after day.  Now that I am in college I have found that myspace is also a great place to keep in touch with your friends.  Myspace allows you to create profiles with a profile picture.  You can write about what has happened in your life using the blog section.  You can post slide shows of events that have occured.  Myspace has a section where your friends can write you comments as well as post funny pictures.

FACEBOOK
Facebook normally was for college students.  It was a unique place to meet new friends at your local college.  Facebook also allowed you to put a picture of yourself on your profile along with information about yourself.  There is also a place where friends can write you small comments.  Now facebook has expanded itself into not just college, but high school and cities.  Even though that everyone can now join facebook, you still belong to your own seperate network.  Everybody who is in the college network can only view people in that network unless they request to become friends with somebody outside of the network.

Takeaways
  • Facebook is an online personal profile.
  • Myspace is an online personal profile.
  • AIM/YAHOO/MSN are all instant messengers.

Glad you could stay connected. I lost contact with everyone I went to school with.
