While before the machines were outdated and the ceiling was literally caving in due to water leaks, the gym has been restored and updated so that now all the machinery is nice and new and it also offers an expanded cardio area with more treadmills, not to mention a more well planned out floor area with the machinery now properly placed, allowing for many more machines for getting a workout in.

In addition, LA Fitness offers something the other gyms don't. LA Fitness has a great racquetball area for those looking to play some fun indoor racquetball. There are always games going on and it offers a unique experience for visiting gyms and an alternative method for working out. The final gym in La Mirada is also the newest. Constructed recently in late 2003, the 24 Hour Fitness off of Beach Blvd. offers a great gym experience. This two story structure has a wonderfully kept pool, a nice spa, a steam room, and a sauna all in convenient range. The entire layout was well planned and the gym makes good use of its machines. In addition, being the newest gym it offers the newest equipment and simply shines of that "new" feel.
