Everyone knows that you can use glass baby food jars for storing spices or nails. We know that they are a great place to hold onto paperclips or pour your own candles. But isn't there anything that you can use them for involving your baby? Why yes, dear reader, there is. You can use them for storage when going on a trip, be it down the road or across the country.

Baby food jars are great put a perfect portion of powdered formula into or carry a bit of rice cereal. These are functional because you can just toss them into your bag and you do not have to worry about them spilling all over because they are already designed to carry baby food. I know that these jars can get a little heavy when you get a bunch together, but when you are done with one you can throw them away and you will not be out any more money because you already had them, unlike if you buy a container made specifically for carrying portions of formula.

Farther down the road these little jars will hold the perfect size portion of finger food like Cheerios or very small pieces of fruit for your child. While giving your child the glass jar to eat out of is an obvious no-no it will keep foods fresh until you are ready to serve them. (Tip: they will stay even fresher is you put the fruit jars into a insulated bag with an ice pack.)

Another simple travel use for glass baby food jars is to carry petroleum jelly. Who wants to have to carry around their oversized Sam's Club container when you can scoop out a little bit and put it in a jar? Not me. This is also better in case you are on a trip to the park or a beach because somehow someway dirt or sand is bound to end up in your brand new container and this way you will not be wasting as much.

I hope that these travel uses for the baby food jar will help you out on your next trip!
