Las Vegas Police have arrested a suspect in the robbery and beating of Oakland wide receiver Javon Walker. Police say Walker got into a car with 30-year-old Arfat Fadel and an accomplice on June 16 prior to the crime. They are still looking for the second suspect.

The Chicago Bears waived kicker Shane Longest. The Bears signed him as an un-drafted rookie immediately after the draft.

The New York Giants signed quarterback Andre Woodson, a sixth round pick, on Tuesday. The team also signed three additional draft picks; defensive end Robert Henderson and linebackers Bryan Kehl and Jonathan Goff. The team only has three remaining draft picks to sign; Kenny Phillips, Terrell Thomas and Mario Manningham.

The Washington Redskins signed defensive end Rob Jackson; a seventh round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan held a press conference Tuesday to announce his new job as a studio analyst for Fox. The deal was first reported by SI.com on Monday.

I didn't hear about the arrest in the Walker case, until I read this. Nice work.
