Camp Rock - the Disney Channel Smash Hit at Disney.Com/camprock

Camp Rock is a Disney Channel original movie and had its premier on the Disney Channel on June 20^th, 2008. The following night, it had its network television premier on ABC as part of the Wonderful World of Disney.

The movie premiered to the second largest Disney Channel audience ever. A whopping 8.9 million viewers tuned in to see the Jonas Brothers and the other cast members rock out in this new Disney Channel movie.

The Story

The story is about a young girl who dreams of becoming a pop star. She desperately wants to attend the prestigious Camp Rock. She finds her way in when her mother, who own a local catering company, is hired by the camp's director. She is allowed to attend the camp and participate in the camp's activities if she helps her mother out in the kitchen. Over the course of the camp, she discovers she has what it takes to become a star; thanks to help from the people she meets, including the Jonas Brothers.

Soundtrack

Camp Rock features some great songs, and the soundtradck is avauialble as two CD set. The seconds CD is a DVD that features music videos and behind the scenes features.

Camp Rock 2

The Disney Channel has confirmed that plans to produce Camp Rock 2 are underway and production should begin sometime in the summer of 2009.
