The Gift of Photography
Nowadays, people are enjoying keeping memories by means of technology; ever since the creation of the first camera by Alhazen during 965-1040. Photography is our passion concerning the taking and processing photographs. It is the product of
mixing numerous technical studies and discoveries.
All photographs during the early discoveries were originally black-and-white and also known as monochrome. Even after the color film was formed, monochrome photography still continues to reign for decades. Because of it's cheaper cost and its archetypal photographic appearance. But it is always important to remember that monochromatic pictures do not always come in as black-and-white because some contain other hues. The Cyanotype process for instance produces a picture of blue and white.
Photography comes from the word which is based on Greek words meaning light and stylus, together meaning drawing with light. Usually, the manufactured goods of photography has been called photograph and is now known as photo.
The camera is the image-forming machine and the photographic film is the sensing medium. The recording medium can be the film, from normal cameras, or memory card from a digital camera and cellular phones with camera. Photographers of the early era control the camera and taking care of expose to the light because it can affect the picture and its appearance. However, the modern digital cameras are programmed with an electronic image sensor to replace film which is based on light sensitive electronics. The captured image is then saved in a memory card and can be reproduced on paper and film as well.
Photography has its contribution for many scientists and artists from the beginning of its supremacy. Scientists have used it to record the experiment they were doing and the study of human and animal locomotion in 1887. Some use it for surveillance. Some relies seriously on photography and has greatly contributed to its development. Photography troubled photographers with working at secluded locations without easy access to processing amenities.
