Reese Witherspoon has made a huge impact on movies since she started acting. Her first role was in The Man in the Moon back in 1991. She really hasn't been acting that long to even say that she is a great actress but she really is. The Man in the Moon - Released in 1991, The Man in the Moon is basically a first love story. Reese who plays Danielle 'Dani' Trant and falls in love for the first time. Sam Waterston and Tess Harper were also in this film with Reese.

A Far Off Place- Released in 1993 Reese plays Nonnie Parker in this film. Taking place in Savanna, Nonnie and another boy who is a city boy are the only witnesses to a gang of poachers ruthless murders. As the only two survivors they have to keep surviving because the gang of poachers now want them dead. A story about survival. Ethan Embry and Jack Thompson also starred in this film with Reese.

Jack the Bear- Released in 1993, Reese played Karen Morris. This film was about a professional clown played by Danny Devito, his wife dies in a car accident and he is left to care for his two young sons. This one also starred Gary Sinise.
