Restaurant Review: Nick's Lake House in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania

Good Beer, Good Food and Good Times

Located in the heart of the Pocono's Nick's Lake House is placed perfectly in Lake Harmony, Pa. This wonderful little restaurant is located on Toll Road in between Big Boulder Ski Area and Split Rock Lodge and Resort. It is easy to find and the food is great. There are also many smaller attraction's near the restaurant. Little gift shops can be found right next door. This restaurant was established in 1923 and has a very interesting history that can be found on their website.

As you enter the restaurant you may think at first that it is a small place. The front of the building looks just like the front of a lake house. Thus the name Nick's Lake House. Once you enter though you see quite a beautiful bar and restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and pleasant. Nick's offers plenty of seating varieties for their guests. Smoking, non-smoking and deck seating. Our party was lucky enough to be seated on the deck.

What a beautiful view! The deck we were seated on gives you an entire view of Lake Harmony. The sun glinting off the water was an impressive site while we waited for our drinks to come. The party I had attended with included 8 others. We went as a group for our Adult Art Class and the view made it totally worthwhile without even seeing the menu. Once our drinks arrived, mostly beers but some soda's, iced teas and coffees, we started to put in our orders off the menu.

The food on the menu for lunch was mouth watering. Nick's Lake House offers a variety of foods to choose from. Burgers, Fish, Steak, Salads, Pizza and more. No one was disappointed with the choices available. We placed our orders rather quickly as more than half of us are starving artists literally! We get hungry and want to be fed quickly. A few people ordered Grilled Reuben's, one of us ordered a small personal Pizza, another had an Italian Sausage Sandwich and one of us ordered a burger with fries. I got to splurge on myself a little so I ordered a house spinach salad with sirloin steak medium rare.
