A log cabin home is such a wonderful and special retreat. There are lots of wonderful interior decorating ideas that you can use with a log cabin home to make it truly special and unique. The good news is that virtually any budget can afford to undertake some inexpensive home decorating ideas for a log cabin home retreat. Inexpensive Ways to Decorate a Log Cabin Home: Wall Décor
There are some great ways to decorate your log cabin home wall décor. One inexpensive way to fill wall space and create a cozy setting is with tall floor plants. The floor plants placed by a wall will take up the wall space and provide wall décor. At the same time, the floor plants provide a nice and cozy atmosphere for a retreat feeling in your log cabin home.
Another great way to decorate the walls of your log cabin home inexpensively is with family photos. Family photos are terrific and they can really fill up one or two walls in the log cabin home. It is a great way to bring the family with you while you are on a retreat and inexpensive for wall décor.
One of my favorite ways to inexpensively decorate the walls in a log cabin is with homemade quilts. If you don't have heirloom family quilts, many flea markets sell quilts. You can even find some beautiful hand crafted quilts on the Internet with online stores.
Inexpensive Ways to Decorate a Log Cabin Home: Furniture
The best way to decorate your log cabin home retreat with furniture is to keep it simple and basic. You can find some great antique or solid wood pieces of furniture from local furniture shops, second hand shops and even at your local craft stores. Furniture should be very basic and filled with pillows that have lovely patterns or covered with beautiful quilts and throws.
Inexpensive Ways to Decorate a Log Cabin Home: Window Dressings
For window dressings, I like to go with the wooden shutters for a log cabin home retreat. There are some top-quality neutral browns and mahogany window shutters that are made for indoors. These types of shutters provide you with privacy for your retreat and keep the rustic look and feel of your log cabin home.
