'What am I going to do?' he thought. 'There's no way out.' And there he sat in the Room of Hopelessness. Satan stood before him and gloated, "Your mine now. There's no one here to save you." Fear filled his spirit. He knew it was true. He was alone. Satan himself began attacking him in everyway possible. His marriage, his children, his finances. His soul was desolate and he was ready to give up and let Satan have him. It wasn't like he had a choice.
And just then the door opened and in came a nasty little demon. It had terror written all over its face. Satan screamed, "What is the meaning of this interruption?" The demon looked at Satan and trembled, "I'm sorry master but I've got horrible news."
"Well, what is it?" Satan demanded impatiently. "I'm sorry, but He's here", it answered. Fear immediately flooded Satan's eyes. "Who?" Satan asked. But it was evident, he already knew. The thing responded with one word, "Him."
"That's impossible!" Satan shrieked.
And then, in walked Jesus. The demon immediately screamed in terror and fled the room. "Satan, release this man", Jesus commanded.
"But....but he's mine!" Satan whined. "You don't want him anyway, he's trash. He's a liar, a cheater, and a thief. There's nothing you can do with him. You should just let me have him."
"No, I have chosen him. Now release him!" Jesus demanded. The soul sat there in wonder. Who is this man that he can put fear in Satan's eyes? He thought. Jesus answered, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last." Jesus walked over to him and laid His hand upon the mans' spirit.
When Jesus touched him a peace so wonderful came over him. He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this man truly loved him. The man stood and held His Saviors' hand. Jesus lead him right past Satan who stood in anger and fear.
As they left the room Satan began screaming in anger. They could hear things being thrown around the room. "Bring me another soul!" he demanded.
The man looked at Jesus and asked, "Lord, why of all people would you chose me?"
"Because I have heard your cry. And I have a plan for you." Jesus answered.
