1. Diapers I think every parent is with me here. Baby is happy when he is clean and dry and I’m happy every time someone hands me a pack of diapers because that means I can buy more groceries with my grocery money. Think big here too, I’m not talking about just how many diapers (the more the merrier though), but about size. The diapers will not go bad if they sit around for a month or so before baby can wear them. If you want them to be useful right away maybe buy a pack in baby’s current size and then buy the next size up too. You could even make this a deluxe style present by throwing in some wipes, and diaper rash cream. Don’t be afraid to ask the parents what size or brand they like if you don’t know and can’t do a little undercover investigation. Even if you ruin the surprise factor there’s always the anticipation of knowing you’re getting a great gift.
