Unique, Creative and Fast Ways to Take Out a Sting from a Sunburn

These Home Remedies Work Very Well, Fast, and Especially for Kids

Now that it's summer we all have to take care of our skin in the sun so it won't burn, but what do you do if you end up with a sunburn that hurts?Even though you protected yourself you can still end up with a slight burn that may really irritate you. Do you just deal with the pain? Do you
try to put some medicine on the sunburn or maybe take some Advil for the pain? When kids get sunburn it can make them very cranky, tired, irritable, and cause them to be in pain what do you do for that child? Being a mom of three Lil babies I have only experienced sunburn on my children one time each, but the pain was very painful for them, which made me think of all the home remedies I can try to help them. Now how did they get this sunburn when I had on the highest sunblock possible? Well to me all the sunblocks are very similar and it really doesn't matter if you buy one that's number 20 or number 40. After a certain number I feel it doesn't do any different could be wrong, but it's just my own opinion. Anyway regardless they still had the sunburn so I had to come up with some ideas to help. When I was a teenager my mom always had the strangest home remedies when it came to sunburns, but it always seemed to help my pain, the redness, and helped it from really peeling a lot. Some may sound crazy, but they honestly do work and will give you or your child so much comfort.

Cucumbers- Mashed them up the best you possibly can. Then mix them in a bowl with some really cold milk. Apply this mixture onto a wash cloth making sure it's saturated. Then apply to the sunburn. Hold there for a minute or so then do this one more time.

Diaper rash ointment- I really love Desitin. This stuff works wonders on so many different problems one is a sunburn. Make sure you coat the sunburn completely. Don't be afraid to really glob it on. Leave the product on and let it adsorb into the skin. Do not rinse off.

Very interesting article, as somebody who's been badly burn a least a dozen times, this was interesting and will probably be helpful at some point. Don't know about mustard, that has vineagar in it, ouch!

I'd forgotten the diaper rash cream trick! I also love to dab damp tea bags on sunburn - the natural elements in tea have anti-inflammatory properties and are a great alternative to those of us who are aspirin allergic.

This is awesome! I just wish I'd read this a couple of weeks ago. grrrrrr My son could have used these. I'll refer to it in the future. Thanks a bunch for these tips! Oh, and I agree with Sheryl Young. My son has had a heat rash all over his chest and down his back that won't go away. Any recommendations? We would both appreciate it so much!

With the hot sun we've had recently, I'm passing the cucumber and cold milk idea along to my sis-in-law, who spends waaaaay too much time in the burning sun. :>)
