A reminder Dear Addict is going to be published starting again Monday June 30. It is going to finally be our first question and answer column. We have some great questions, and thats to those who took the courage to ask. It will however be anonymous names - Its the questions that are meaningful.

PS- if you want to ask a question please do so please do by Sunday at dearaddict@gmail or feel free to leave a message for me privately here.

There is no such thing as a wrong question. Thats how i believe grow and in turn help someone who just might be needing to hear what you have to hear.

We also have an amazing letter a mother wrote to her son addiction.

Im so glad to be back and I find it inspiring how we can discuss a much needed subject.

Website will bw up this month and it will be such a much easier read/format.

Now I must get caught up with all I have missed

Cheers and Thanks

Welcome back!!!

My lover was drinking too much. She got busted on a serious DWI and the legal system put her through the ringer. She lost her license to drive so I had to chaffeur her to all the meetings. Rather than sit in the car or wander around the city I asked if I could sit in on these legaly prescribed rehabilatative lectures. I really liked the guy running the show. He seemed very down to earth and upbeat, though a bit nervous and a chain smoker. After completing all legal requirements my friend decided she would attend AA, I'd drive her there and sit in on some of these sessions. The same instructor was a prominent member of the AA team. One night after a meeting I asked this guy what he was in to besides AA and giving sobriety lectures. "Oh, I used to love baseball and fishing but had to give that up because it was connected to my drinking life." "That's wild," I responded, "baseball and fishing are very important to me and they are a lynchpin of my sobriety and sanity."
