Like tiny kamikazes
You all swarm in,
Taking over the light,
The door,
Only to infiltrate my home.

It's a good thing
I have my allies.
Toads, frogs,
Snakes, lizards,
Newts, Salamanders,
And geckos all around.

Don't land on the walls,
The doors or the ground.

They will get you if I don't.
I can only imagine what the yard looks like at night.
Your cousins love to light it up, too.

Although your first name is June,
We see your arival in May.
There are times when you
Don't leave until August,
But that is rare.

Mr. June Bug,
You are welcome outside.
It is inside we don't want you,
While we eat and sleep.

The Bugging Bug

June bugs can be bothersome.
