I stand alone
On this cold winter’s shore
Grey racing clouds
Paying me no mind
I drift along the rocks
With the crashing surf
Jeweled ice spray
Misting over me

For long I have seen
Where this love leads
Waves dashing
Storm at sea
But now I’ve reached Still Waters
And here is where I’ll stay
I’ve had enough of storms
Now I want to float
Float on is Still Waters

Bitter grey sun
Over a monochrome beach
Thunderheads gathering
Not so far away
I hear that nearby rumble
And know that once
Not so long ago
That rumble was me

Footsteps on slate
Scattered pieces of driftwood
I slowly turn my back
And begin to walk away
The call of your sea is strong
Stronger than I could have known
But a drowning man
Must try to save himself

For long I have seen
Where this love leads
Waves dashing
Storm at sea
But now I’ve reached Still Waters
And here is where I’ll stay
I’ve had enough of storms
Now I want to float
Float on is Still Waters

Your savage weather
Enchanted me
But I can’t take anymore of these
Stormfront warnings
I’m too tired
And if I slip
I know I’ll slide under
And be lost
To your raging tides
Take me to the still water
I can’t fight anymore

For long I have seen
Where this love leads
Waves dashing
Storm at sea
But now I’ve reached Still Waters
And here is where I’ll stay
I’ve had enough of storms
Now I want to float
Float on is Still Waters

Lead me to your Still Waters
