If you are a gigantic X-Files "Freak" like I am, you will enjoy this information I've dug up so far about this up and coming long awaited NEW X-Files film called "I want to believe" I just hope this film is as good as the last one, which I think I have watched over the years about 50 times. I have this film on Video Cassette and DVD both!

Personally "I want to believe" Spooky "Mulder and his sidekick partner Scully" have the greatest partnership of any TV series in history, simply because of their charm and sometimes "lovable" realistic humor with one another as FBI investigators of the "Unexplained".

This seemed to be the best information I have found so far regarding this new film, which I copied from Wikipedia Encyclopedia.

I quote: "The film was first anticipated in November 2001 to follow the conclusion of the ninth season of the TV series, but it remained in development hell for six years before entering production in December 2007 in Vancouver. The premise of the film is not yet publicly known, but many of those involved, including Carter, Duchovny and 20th century fox, have spoken of the film as one that would stand apart from the alien abduction conspiracy story of the television series. The film is released on July 24, 2008 in Australia, on July 25, 2008 in North America, and on August 08, 2008 in the United Kingdom.

Due to the highly secretive nature of the project, the studio has released little information about the film's plot. The producers have only revealed that it will take place six years after the events of the series. It is also known that, unlike the first film, the plot will not focus on the series' ongoing "mythology" and will instead be a standalone thriller/horror story, similar to many of the "monster of the week" episodes that were frequently seen in the TV series.

In an interview published march 27,2008, Carter stated that the film would be consistent with the entire X-Files story arc, as Scully's child William would "not go unconsidered" in the film, and that it "takes place in the present and uses a story envisioned when the series ended"
