I presently live in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, but I spend most of my evenings in nearby Sea Girt, where three fabulous restaurants have me returning night after night after night. Sea Girt is a quaint and charming Jersey Shore town that is as quiet in the winter as it is frantic in the summer. Here are the top restaurants in Sea Girt, New Jersey.

Fratello’s is a vibrant Italian restaurant featuring a wide selection of dishes ranging from pasta to seafood. Every meal is prepared with great care, and the staff is friendly and fun. Located at 810 The Plaza in Sea Girt, New Jersey, Fratello’s provides an elegant dining experience at very reasonable prices. Open seven days a week from three p.m. to midnight, Fratello’s also features live music on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Reservations are recommended on the weekends. You can telephone Fratello’s at (732) 974-8833, and you can visit them online at http://www.shorepoints.com/fratellos/index.shtml.

My favorite spot for lunch in Sea Girt is easily Rod’s Olde Irish Tavern. Located right around the corner from Fratello’s at 507 Washington Boulevard, Rod’s Tavern is open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. I highly recommend the hot open-faced roast beef sandwich with french fries. Rod’s also offers terrific steaks and burgers. For dessert, you must have the brownie sundae (which is large enough to share, but you won’t want to) and an Irish coffee. You can give Rod’s Tavern a call at (732) 449-2020, or visit their website at http://www.rodstavern.com/index.htm.
