Adoption Agencies in the Hickory, North Carolina Area

Adopting a baby or putting one up for adoption is never an easy decision, but once made you need to find a place to do it. If you live in the Hickory North Carolina area and are looking for an adoption agency, then read on. On a personal note I am very much in favor of adoption over
abortion. So if you are a mother to be and are undecided, please contact one of these adoption agencies and at least talk it over. On this list of Adoption Agencies in the Hickory North Carolina area, I will include websites where possible.

Childers Adoption Agency is located at 118 N. College Ave in Newton N.C. You can call them at 828-465-2007. But I recommend at least looking at theirsite, which had lots of pertinent information. Julia Childers PhD, LCSW owns and runs this adoption agency. Of the ones I have included in this article, I think Childers would be the one I tried first.

A Childs Hope is another one you can check out. They are licensed in North Carolina ran by two adoption attorneys. Birthmothers can call them for free at 800-890-Hope. And they Habla Espanol. Their offices are in Raleigh North Carolina, so Hickory residents may want to try another one.

Building Families of Catawba County is a combined effort of the Catawba County Social Services, and Children's Home Society of North Carolina. They have been operating since 1995. Their location is at 507 Boundary Street in Conover and you can call them at 828-465-8901. They offer several services including foster parenting and adoption.

Bethany Christian Services has offices in Asheville, Charlotte and Raleigh North Carolina. They offer the usual services PLUS Embryo Adoption and International adoption. If people have unused embryo's they can offer them to other potential parents, thus not having to have them destroyed.

Children's Hope Society also has their own programs and are located in Greensboro. You can check out their website here, for more details on their services.
