It's the burning question for those who have heard her runaway smash hit "I Kissed A Girl." Is this fluff made up for attention or is it in fact more of an autobiographical account?

Of course, in this age when manufactured artists sing fabricated songs to push album sales and use sex to sell, one would be inclined to think this song is contrived.

On an interview with online site, The New Gay, when asked if she's actually kissed a girl, Perry admits, "I think I will, I'm holding out for Megan Fox."

So, ladies and gentleman, she in fact has never actually kissed a girl.

"Yeah, it's fantasy, it's a song about curiosity."

This was indeed very pre-calculated, not just a random, lucky hit. Just look at the writing credits. We see pop doctors Max Martin (Britney Spears, Back Street Boys) and Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne), and Cathy Dennis, who co-wrote Kylie Minogue's worldwide smash, "Can't Get You Out of My Head." Yeah, it probably would have been more of a disappointment if a song with such heavyweight songwriters didn't crack the top 10.

When I saw that her history included a song "Ur So Gay" followed with "I Kissed A Girl," and the album being titled One of the Boys, it's obvious that she's using the whole lesbian theme to market herself.

What surprised me was how when asked if she would have any more gay songs, she responded by pointing out the irony of it. Irony? Uh, I thought it was a given that it was planned that way.

So she did just do the song for attention. Not a surprise. That's understandable given her past struggle in the music industry.

When I YouTubed her after a friend recommended "I Kissed A Girl," I found a music video from her Christian rock days, which obviously sounded nothing like the Perry we know we now here.

On another video of her at a radio station, as the single was rising up the charts, she said that this was the moment she's been waiting on for five years.

Yes, five years. One can understand her desperation. Her label had trouble marketing her, but now it seems as if she's has finally found her niche.

I've been thinking this whole time that Katy was a bi-sexual. This is kind of surprising.
