Five of the Most Irresponsible Mothers
Bad Mom? Try to Match Up to These Five!
1. Joan CrawfordWho would have guessed that a woman who could be so mesmerizing on screen would turn out to be so monstrous in real life! Joan Crawford, with three Academy Award nominations to her name, was as bad a mother as could be. She not only abused her children in all possible ways, she also set new standards in ruthlessness towards adopted children after handing out the dishonorable ultimatum to Christina, her adopted daughter. After she tied her kids to their beds and forced them to sell alcohol, one can only wonder if any Hollywood mom could ever match up to her nastiness!
2. Britney Spears
When she sang, "I'm not that innocent", no one would have guessed how ironically her life would reflect those words! From going from mad to insane, this celebrity momma has had a bit too much of adventure with her infant sons, costing her their custody. She may have thought she would get away by driving with her baby on her lap, but things took an ugly turn when reports of her stripping in front of the boys were made public. She was forced to hand the boys over to ex-hubby K-Fed after one hysterical outburst after the other. But things may finally look up for the troubled star now, with the court extending her visitation rights on May 6, 2008
3. Whitney Houston
Whoever said kids learn from watching their parents, were bang on target! Whitney Houston, whose attraction for sex toys and banned substances are no secret, might have just had the most horrible influence on her own teenage daughter. Bobbi Christina recently attacked her mom with a razor before trying to slit her own hand open following an argument over whom she wanted to stay with - mom or dad. If only Whitney had spent more time reading Dr. Spock rather than experimenting with dildos!
