The purpose of this article is to give you some live examples of email scams that actually end up in my inbox. Most of them are easy to spot, but you have to think to yourself that these people wouldn't send these emails if they weren't catching a few unsuspecting innocent people out there. Use these examples as live help to recognize the crap that is hitting your inbox. Pass it along to your friends and family so they will be able to recognize them as well. Awareness is key.PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO EXAMPLE 3 WHICH ACTUALLY APPEARS TO BE FROM BANK OF AMERICA. BUT IF YOU LOOK MORE CLOSELY AT THE LINK THAT THE ACTUAL EMAIL LINK YOU WILL SEE THAT IT IS TRYING TO SEND YOU TO: WWW.KITESURF.WTFE.COM WHICH IS NOT THE BANK OF AMERICA WEBSITE. THE EMAIL LOOKS GENUINE AND IS ACTUALLY PLASTERED WITH A BANK OF AMERICA LOGO, BUT BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THEM. MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK WHERE THE ACTUAL LINK IN THE EMAIL IS GOING. OR DON'T CLICK THEM AT ALL.
