Songs from the Who on Rock Band

Popular classic rock band The Who is coming to Rock Band next month. The Who's downloadable content (DLC) won't be "Who's Next," as originally scheduled, but the week of July 15th, fans will get a hand-picked line-up of classic The Who songs, including three selections from "Who's Next." The Who's official web site announced the full list of songs to be included in the The Best of The Who Rock Band Edition pack.

-Going Mobile
-Leaving Here
-My Generation (LIVE)
-Real Good Looking Boy
-Sea & Sand
-Summertime Blues (LIVE)
-Who Are You
-Young Man Blues (LIVE)

The three live DLC tracks for the Who on Rock Band will be the first three live tracks to be included in the game. The one notable omission that fans on Rock Band forums have noticed for the much-anticipated DLC lineup is "Pinball Wizard," which is one of The Who's most popular and presumably fun-to-play songs and also seemingly would fit well because it has a video game-type theme to it.

But members of The Who who picked out the DLC tracks for Rock Band most likely felt that the best songs to play in Rock Band on different instruments aren't necessarily the ones that are the most popular or have the catchiest chorus to them.

Most bands put out entire albums on Rock Band when they get the go-ahead to put a large amount of tracks in the game but The Who decided that it would be better if they just picked out all of the songs that they felt would be the most fun to play in Rock Band as DLC.

Fans will find out soon enough if this selection of tracks by The WHO in Rock Band as DLC is better than the planned "Who's Next" DLC album that was originally planned.
