I Got the Job for You - Be a Teacher, It's Easy!

I remember hitching a ride down to L.A. with some friends that were in a great rush to deliver me to L.A. International Airport to catch a flight that was to depart to Puerto Rico close to mid-night. We were stranded on a lonely road by the coast near San Francisco. What an amazing place! It was a dream come true to see the Golden Gate Bridge and life by the Bay area. The scenic view was just spectacular and very breath taking. Living in California for the past five years was as if I had lived the most beautiful dream a man can ever dream of. The music during those years was alive full of electronic energy surrounding our ears to great new sounds that drove most of us to cheer and the full ecstasies of life. The music was called New Wave and the recording artist were groups from the US and from abroad (England). Groups like The Thompson Twins, Talking Heads, Adam Ant and so many more. We wanted to be different, look different, comb our hair different and even think differently. We praised our freedom on the land of the free.

My friends and I had seen most of San Francisco. Yet, the stark truth, I had a dead line to keep. I had a booked flight to return to Puerto Rico that was scheduled by my mother in Puerto Rico. After five years she felt that it was time for me to return to the island and get my head together into more serious things in life. I, reluctantly, had agreed to return. My economical situation was far from great. Yet I was happy, happy to be alive.
