Plan aheadThe most important tip you will ever receive for Black Friday is to always plan ahead. There are web sites Online that allow you to peak at the black Friday ads now. You will also get them in the paper as the day gets closer. Mark all the items you want and make a list. Start at the store that opens the earliest and go from there.
Leave Early
A lot of hot ticket items sell out fast. Most stores only carry a few of the large items on black Friday. Some people start camping out right after dinner on Thanksgiving. You might want to do this or leave really early in the morning. Most stores will start at 5am.
Dress warm
If you plan on camping out, make sure you are dressed really warm. Layer up your clothes and take blankets. Chairs are also very helpful. If you have a buddy with you take these things back to the car about 30 minutes before the store opens up. Layered clothes inside the store with hundreds of people will not work out to well.
Entertainment
Bring along a small TV, game boy or something similar. It can get pretty boring outside standing in line if you are alone. You will keep watching the clock and time will seem to stand still.
Price Match
Some stores offer price match. Call around a few days before and ask your favorite store if they do this. If so then take all your ads with you and buy everything from one place. If they don't offer that, then lace up them running shoes. You will need them.
Coupons
So many people tend to forget about this. Most stores except coupons for items on black Friday. You can often get coupons in your email if you sign up for the stores Online newsletter. Check your Sunday newspaper before black Friday, they will have some usefull coupons for you. Staple you coupons to that stores list of items you want. This makes for less fumbling around in the store. Remember lots of people will be out on black Friday.
Parking space
So many people tend to grab the first available parking spots in the front row. This is a bad thing to do on black Friday. If you plan on hitting more stores this day then you want to get in and out as fast as possible. Reverse your car into a back row parking spot. This makes for a fast clean get away.
