San Jose's Minh's Restaurant: Everything Downhill After Ordering the Food
My Experience at Minh's Restaurant

Restaurant Review: Minh's Restaurant2060 Tully RoadSan Jose, CA 95122It was my father's 50th birthday and my family went out for dinner. However, the usual restaurant we go to whenever we celebrate was booked due to a wedding reception. So we settled with one none of us have ever eaten at before, Minh's Restaurant at Tully Road, which serves Vietnamese food.
On my five-point scale where five is the highest, one is the lowest, and three is mediocre, I will have to give Minh's Restaurant a two. Though it had an appealing facade, my experience was anything but. To put it bluntly, I had a horrible time. It seemed nice at first, but everything went downhill when we tried to order food.
For starters, their plates that have an average cost of about $9 each only serves two people. That would be nice when out on a date, probably, but bigger groups suffer, like my family. A total of 10 family members went to celebrate my father's birthday dinner. Several other tables also had a lot of people. Bigger groups suffer because there are no family dinner specialties or anything of that sort. They have to order the plates separately at the same price and same quantity.
Now you might think that if we go to a restaurant like Outback Steakhouse or Applebee's, the cost per person per plate would have been more, and so therefore, a $9 plate that feeds two people is a good deal. That would have been true, until you see the plate. A plate of food at Outback Steakhouse or Applebee's is bigger than the plate of food at Minh's Restaurant, that's supposed to serve two people. Sometimes, there is no plate, but a bowl, and a tiny one at that. The bowls at my house are bigger than theirs. The plates are meant to be serving plates, so the waiter or waitress would give each person his or her individual plate. Those plates are small salad plates. You can hardly fit anything on them. Their plates are very disappointing, but the most disappointing part of the evening was the food. Please take note that I have no problem with Vietnamese food, but I have a problem with the way this particular restaurant cooked the food.
