Jurors deliberating assault charges against former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry were unable to reach a verdict, resulting in a hung jury. It is unclear whether the case will be re-tried or if the judge will declare a mistrial. The hung jury means the suspended Henry will have to wait until his playing status is determined.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed 3rd round draft pick Bryan Smith to a 4 year contract. The rookie defensive end was a 2-time All American selection out of Division I-AA McNeese State. Even though he is undersized for a defensive end (he is listed as 245 pounds), the Eagles are hoping he will help improve their pass rush.

The Chicago Bears signed rookie defensive tackle Marcus Harrison to a four-year contract. He was drafted in the third round of this year's draft. The team also signed receiver Earl Bennett and cornerback Zack Bowman. The team only has two un-signed draft picks; Chris Williams and Matt Forte.

The San Francisco 49ers waived guard John Booker and linebacker Shaun Richardson. Both were signed as undrafted free agents in May.

The Buffalo Bills signed rookie cornerback Reggie Corner. The 4th round pick was one of three defensive backs drafted by the team in April. He is expected to compete for a back up spot. The Bills also signed offensive tackle Demetrius Bell and released fullback Mike Viti. Bell is the estranged son of basketball star Karl Malone.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joe Jurevicius' training camp status is up in the air after having knee surgery for the second time since January. The 33-year-old reportedly still had discomfort and had to have the second surgery to aid in his recovery. He contracted a staph infection following the first surgery.

The New England Patriots cut defensive back Willie Andrews on Tuesday. Andrews was arrested early Monday for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend's head. He is being held without bail until a Thursday hearing. The Patriots also signed linebacker Bo Ruud, their 6th round pick in April's draft.
