Greek is an unusual language being open to translation.Like wise the teachings of Jesus are also given over to individual interpritation.
I suppose it comes down to the fact that truth resounds on every level, like it or not, believe it or not!
The feeding of the five thousand has been translated into what people now believe to have been a miracle event,
yet the teaching and truth is much simpler than that.
Many christians know that Jesus taught of universal maxims that bind Humanity as one race,
a race of individuals all of the same species of life all of one species.
One of his maximes was to share and it is this lesson which is given with two fishes and five loaves.
For Jesus knew of the people at that time
and he knew that when they gathered to hear him speak of universal truths
they would not come with out a packed lunch!
In offering the food from the child,
Jesus encouraged others to share with those too poor to bring 'lunch'
Consequently, there was black bags full of left over food at the end of the day.
Don't let it go to waist!
