Buying Christmas presents for a baby can be a really fun job. Walking through the toy department at your favorite retailer, you are bound to find more than one toy for your baby. However, when it comes to stocking stuffers, parents are often left with few ideas. After all, baby toys need to be large enough not to be swallowed, yet small enough to it in the stocking. Below are ten great ideas for stuffing your baby’s stocking this Christmas.

1) Start with the basics. Does your baby enjoy his or her pacifier? Perhaps you can stick a new pacifier in the stocking. Babies have a way of wearing their binkies out or losing them when you are shopping. It’s always good to have extras on hand. Stuffing one or two in the stocking is a good way to be sure to have some just in case you need them. You can also prevent the loss of a beloved paci by sticking a pacifier keeper, which attaches to both the pacifier and the baby’s clothes, in the stocking as well.

2) Movies make another great stocking stuffer. There are many great movies available that are designed for babies. These videos, such as the Baby Einstein series, make wonderful gifts. An older baby might enjoy The Wiggles or Barney on video, as well. Videos for your baby can be found on both VHS and DVD formats, making it easier for all babies to be able to enjoy them.

3) Bathtub toys are a great pick. Rubber ducks, squirting fish, or washcloth puppets are all examples of the bathtub toys available for your baby. They also are the perfect size to place into your baby’s stocking. Placing a couple of these into your baby’s stocking is sure to lead to hours of bath time fun!

4) Socks and tights are great little stocking stuffers for babies. They may not be fun for your baby, but they are something that is often needed. Find socks with pictures or tights with ruffles to make this option a little more interesting.

5) Smaller babies might enjoy a nice rattle. You can stick with a classic rattle, or you can choose one that is shaped like a phone, animal, remote control, or one of many other choices. A set of plastic keys is also a winner with most babies.
