Neopet Primer: Understanding & Using Scrolls

Neopet members collect some odd things; scrolls aren't usually a strange thing to buy and put into a gallery but most people will use them to heal a pet or when in the Battledome. Sometimes scrolls are extremely ominous, sometimes they are meant to be read to a pet to raise their Intelligence level, here's a list of some of the most interesting ones at the site along with the official saying that accompanies each of them:

"Scroll of Dark Nova" Speak these magical words aloud and a powerful dark nova will smite your enemy.
"Fiery Sun Scroll" Watch out, this scroll just might burn you...
"Vengeful Scroll" If someone has been mean to you, this scroll may show you a way to get back at them. It may not however, it is very vengeful!
"Scroll of Freezing" Give your opponent the chills with this frost covered scroll.
"Scroll of The Warrior"Warriors are not known for their intelligence.
"Moon Dist Scroll"This scroll is rumored to have magical dust from Kreludor on it.
"Dusty Harmless Looking Scroll"This scroll looks harmless enough... dare you read it?
"Illusen's Scroll"Read all about Illusens many adventures in this scroll.
"Scroll of Trickery"This scroll is said to make your Neopet more crafty and agile.

If you are into collecting scrolls then you will need to get a "Stylish Scroll Rack" to store them; while this is considered a piece of furniture you can't actually use it at the site. This was a 2005 Lost Desert Plot prize so the price on it is through the roof. There are other scroll themed items to consider investing in like the "Lost Desert Scroll Stamp", "Framed Desert Scroll", "Frozen Scroll" (an ice crystal), "Scroll of Recall" (TCG card) and the "Scroll Potion".

Where can you get scrolls? There are more than a few shops that sell them, some of them include Words of Antiquity, The Scrollery,Magical Marvels, Sutek's Scrolls and Brightvale Scrolls. If you are in to collecting scrolls then stay on top of what items are being given away as Random Events; this will drop the price on them temporarily and allow you to stock up on them and make a killing reselling them when the price goes back up.
