4th of July Independence Day Across America

The 4th of July is a holiday uniquely American - Independence Day. A quick perusal of various websites offering free 4th of July clipart and the many 4th of July MySpace comments aptly illustrate that this is a day for connecting not only in the real world, but also in cyberspace! Back in the real world, there is a plethora of events, rallies and parades that celebrate not only Independence Day, but also commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a fourth of July fireworks display that will put previous July 4th festivities to shame. Take a look at the way we are celebrating 4th of July across America.

Red, White and Boom before the 4th of July

Columbus, Ohio starts off Independence Day festivities with a July 3rdRed, White and Boom festival complete with musical guests, patriotic music, food, and of course fireworks to commemorate the momentous occasion in American history that marks the birth of a nation.

Kaboom Town proves everything is bigger in Texas...

... even pre-Fourth of July fireworks! Held in the town of Addison, there will be a free fireworks display on July 3rd that is set to music! Get in the mood for July 4 with Kaboom Town!

Naperville Ribfest on Independence Day Weekend

Starting on July 3rd and running all the way through July 6th, Naperville (Illinois) and its Rib fest sport more than 17 acres of booths, kid friendly activities, plenty of rips, and a 4th of July fireworks display. Set up by the Exchange Club of Naperville and dedicated to being a fundraiser for the fight against child abuse, artists committed to supporting the cause and the Naperville Ribfest are REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, Joan Jett, Trace Adkins, and others.

A Taste of Minnesota on July Fourth Weekend

Free admission and four evenings of fireworks characterize the Taste of Minnesota and its Independence Day festivities. Held at Saint Paul, there will be free shuttles that ferry visitors to and from the downtown area to the festival and back at 15 minute intervals. So go ahead and visit the Taste of MN and enjoy your Independence Day with fireworks, food and fun!
