Black America

The remnants of bigoted and racist social orders set their hideous scars on our American society. The influences of past segregation practices upon ethnic groups, religions and races established territories; many boundaries of separation which have yet to be fully erased and completely
repaired. The bigoted fascism of previous governmental administrations at every level divided our nation into sub-nations, bringing to issue one of those sub-nations so structured out of the abolishment of slavery, Black America.

In the midst of the 2008 Presidential Primary, the Democratic candidate Barack Obama's wife, Michelle Obama was condemned for her lack of patriotism. Her remarks about once not being proud of America triggered off a political furor for debate of what she meant. Though she offered her apologies for those offended and her explanations for her intentions, many citizens did not understand or condone her comment. But to realize what she may have meant, they would have to undergo the experiences of the American sub-nation to which she and so many African Americans have lived through for so long and what America means to those who have been a part of what Mrs. Obama has experienced, Black America.
