Making homemade Christmas gifts can be really fun; it can also be really easy.  Over the years, I have found several ways to make homemade Christmas gifts using Microsoft Word.  You can use Microsoft Word to make everything from Christmas cards to cookbooks.  The sky’s the limit.  You just have to be creative and think about how you use Microsoft Word in your daily life.  It also helps to think of new ways to use Microsoft Word, such as making coupons for your friends.  These homemade Christmas gifts are easy and affordable, plus they take advantage of Microsoft Word which you probably use on a daily basis.

Christmas Cards:  This is such an easy homemade Christmas gift to make.  Simply open Microsoft Word and select a clip art image or insert one of your own images.  Position this picture on the top half of the page.  You can use print preview to make sure the image is in the correct spot.  Next to the image write a warm Christmas greeting such as Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. Once you are satisfied with the image and message, print the page out on regular paper.  This will allow you to see exactly what the card will look like when printed.  If you are happy with the current card, put thick printer paper into your printer and choose print, change the number of copies to the number of cards you will need.  Once the cards have printed, allow the ink to dry, so that it does not run when you are working with the card.  To make the Christmas cards more homemade and more personal, write a different message in each one, concentrating on the gift recipient.  When making this easy homemade Christmas gift, I prefer to use different colored gel pens.  This seems to make the Christmas cards even more special.
