I used to be afraid to play,
I never learned to have my say.

I used to hide
in the lavatory,
eating my lunch, in all its glory.

I used to be afraid
to cross the street,
There might be someone
I would meet.

I was shy, so terribly shy,
I never, never found out why.

Years later, when I was grown,
A well known analyst, I had known,
took me in his care.

It took me awhile for me to release,
my inhibitions, for me to seize.
I learned a lot from this wonderful man,
But then one day he gave me the news,
I cried and cried,,
I really let loose!!!!!!

"I have cancer," he said slowly.
I couldn't stop crying, I felt so lonely
soon I knew our meetings would end.

I attended his funeral, I couldn't miss.
words of beauty expressed with bliss.

He died before I finished my sessions,
But still I continue to learn my lessons.
This wonderful man, I can never forget,
His heart was everywhere, he made a big dent.

Thank you Dr. Honig for being the wonderful human being that you were to all those who knew you.

What a truly wonderful testimony and meaningful on so many levels. This one could encourage people to realize that a good psychiatrist can be a wonder, that a good doctor is also a wonderful and compassionate person (hopefully) and that being that kind of person lets him live on in the hearts of people like you. I'm so glad I saw this one.
