The city of Boston has a rich history, a surprising amount of which is steeped in the Catholic faith. According to the Archdiocese of Boston, Boston derived its name from an English town originally known as "Botolph's Town" which was founded by Saint Botolph himself. Boston even has a Boston Catholic Television resource to provide further help and support to parishioners. Boston has recently undergone changes in the location and availability of Catholic parishes.
