Clothes aren't cheap, so when you get a stain on one of your favorite shirts, it's a real tragedy. But, it doesn't have to be. Easily hide that stain using one of several methods for redecorating your clothing. Shirt paints, beads and other craft items make it easy to turn the old stained shirt into something brand new. Grease spatters, spilled nail polish - whatever the stain there's a way to cover it up by simply using your imagination. Create flower designs from beads to cover small stains. Use fabric glue - found at any craft store - to attach the beads to the shirt. You can create any design you wish using small beads and fabric glue. Enhance the image by using shirt paints to draw stems and leaves.
An easy way to transfer a large picture onto a shirt is to start with a coloring book page. Use shirt paints to outline the main picture. Turn the picture upside down and position it on the front of the shirt. Pat lightly then carefully remove the coloring page. The image will transfer onto the shirt, but keep in mind, the image will be a mirror image. Color in the various areas with fabric paint and a paintbrush or just leave the image the way it is.
Cut shapes of fabric, like triangles, rectangles or ovals, and stitch or glue them over the stains. Create a particular pattern with the quilting pieces or just randomly attach them to the shirt. You can use shirt paints, buttons, beads and other items to enhance the squares or other shapes.
Rubber stamps are an easy way to make stains disappear. Dip the stamps into ink or fabric paint and stamp the images onto the shirt. Add tiny jewels to cover little stains that aren't covered by the stamp. You'll find jewels in various sizes, shapes and colors at any craft store. They can be attached using fabric glue. The jewels can represent rain drops, stars, pebbles and more.
You'll find any number of patches and appliques that can be sewn or glued to shirts. Huge ones, tiny ones, cartoon characters, flowers - there's no end to the designs from which you can choose. Pre-wash the shirt before gluing or stitching the appliques.
