Looking for some of that mouth watering, stick to the bones, foot tapping soul food? Well look no further! These are some of the best soul food restaurants in Boston, Massachusetts. The menus come with all of the fixings normally found or offered in a traditional soul food restaurant or expected when looking for delicious foods that just make you want to "lick your plate and ask for more."

Don't leave Boston without visiting these restaurants and even remember to ask for the dogie bag. Of course, we know the dogie is not the one who will be indulging in the leftovers, but ask for it anyway:

Coast Café - located at 233 River St, (617) 354-7644. With 44 reviews offered by individuals at www.yelp.com the Coast Café ranked 4.5 out of a possible 5 for their food. Patrons said they love the food. Hands down, the Coast Café ranks as one of the best in Boston. Their menu includes their world famous fried chicken, fried catfish, black eyed peas and collard greens. When looking to take pleasure in the soul of soul food, look for the Coast Café.

Chef Lee's Famous Soul Food - located at 554 Columbus Ave (617) 282-2243 and at 1140 Blue Hill Ave (617) 436-6634, Chef Lee's food was so nice, they had to offer it twice. City Search rated Chef Lee's at 8.4 out of a possible 10 stars. They stated that, "In a city not well known for its soul food, Chef Lee's stands out." Try the sweet tea while there. It's out of this world good! Check out the reviews at www.citysearch.com.

Magnolia's Southern Cuisine - located at 1193 Cambridge St, (617) 576-1417. If you are homesick for southern cuisine, visit Magnolia's. Magnolia's has delectable ribs, crunchy fried chicken with the most mesmerizingly luscious mashed potatoes in town. The food is moist and delicious. The crowd can be heavy during the evening hours but other than that, Magnolia's is a five star restaurant by raters at www.tripadvisor.com.
