Don't look me in the eyes and try to tell me
That things are just the same as they were before
Cause I can feel the difference in your kisses
And I know when I'm not wanted anymore

Oh, I tried to talk to my dad about my sorrow
But his gravestone doesn't speak back to me
The only one I have is the man behind the mirror
And I can't stand what it is I see

My beard has gotten longer
With a little bit more gray
And the tales the lines upon my face could tell
Deciding what to do and how to cope with changing...
When changing turns your Heaven into Hell

I can't go on doubting my own life's direction
Can't worry about what may or may not come
Decide what it is you want
And tell me truly...
You should know just where I'm coming from

Because my beard has gotten longer
With a little bit more gray
And the tales the lines upon my face could tell
Deciding what to do and how to cope with changing...
When changing turns your Heaven into Hell

But my soul will soon grow stronger
And my pain shall go away
And the lines upon my face shall fade, as well
When the drapes of time closes on the changing...
I'll soon find Heaven changing back from Hell
