Mark Everett: Child Star Turns to Murder and Child Abduction

The FBI wants to know if you've seen him. Mark Everett, child star of the 80's, is still being sought by the FBI. Mark Everett, aka, Manuel Benitez, Manuel Velasco, Manuele DeValasco, Michael Evers and Mike Evers is wanted for the brutal beating death of his girlfriend Stephanie Spears in 2004. He is also wanted for the child abduction of his son, now 8, Benjamin.

Stephanie Spears allegedly knew him as Mark Everett and not by any of his alias' including Manuel Benitez. They met in 1996. In 2001 Stephanie Spears gave birth to a little boy named Benjamin Everett. After 8 years together, Stephanie Spears wanted out of the relationship. There was trouble and she was tired of it. When she told him she wanted out, there was a horrible argument. Mark Everett brutally beat Spears with a barbell. She died and Mark Everett took their son Benjamin Everett and fled.

It is believed that he is also traveling with his mother, Elizabeth Velasco. She is believed to have several health issues. It was reported in 2004 that both Elizabeth Velasco and Mark Everett were both spotted in Medford, Oregon. Velasco is said to have connections to the Oregon area. But now, authorities suspect that they have fled the U.S. They are thought to have moved to a Spanish speaking country like Mexico or Cuba.

This is not the first time Mark Everett has been involved with law enforcement. In 2000 Everett was arrested on drug charges. In 2003 he was arrested for hiding loaded weapons underneath his son's stroller with his son sitting in it. Mark Everett got probation for possessing concealed and illegally loaded firearms.

Mark Everett is wanted for murder and child abduction. His son, Benjamin, would be 8 years old now. The FBI would like for people to watch for Mark Everett, Benjamin Everett and Elizabeth Velesco. Benjamin has not been spotted since he was abducted at age 3.

There is a $20,000.00 reward out for Everett's capture. He is 39 years old, 190-220 lbs and stands between 5'10" - 6'2" tall. Mark Everett is suspected of murder and child abduction and is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you think you have seen him, please call your FBI agency.
