Rapelay Review: A Look at the Game

6
Rapelay is a very disturbing game coming out of Japan. In it the goal is to sexually assault or rape young women as the name implies. Even without these horrible social implications, Rapelay is a game that simply isn't fit for anyone. Looking at just the bland gameplay components alone and in a different context doesn't give anyone a reason to truly pick up the title. Surely, only those most disturbed have even taken a look and played the actual game. It literally sickens me that a game of this type has even hit the market, even if it was only supposed to be the Japanese market.

Luckily, in recent events the game has been bared from most online retailers, namely Amazon. This reaction is certainly from the public outcry over the last few days that a game of this nature exists. Surely, many were not aware of this type of video game and once privy decided to create an appropriate fuss about it. Now Amazon has banned it, a decision made surely to avoid costumer loss rather than moral upstanding.

Hopefully, with the news of Rapelay's ban more awareness can be made about the reality of the game's harsh subject matter. Maybe it can bring people to look at their own society, thoughts, and feelings to be more willing to stand up against such atrocities.
