Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas Finds Her Future Husband on ABC Finale

The awaited finale of the Bachelorette, while shocking to us loyal viewers, was less impactful than past seasons. The family meetings and individual dates did not seem personable. I don't feel as if any of the experiences added to the existing relationships that
Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas Finds Her Future Husband on ABC Finale
DeAnna Pappas had with her two beaus.

When the family meets the two guys she has chosen, I feel as if they weren't as open-minded with both men. When meeting Jason, because he was the first guy, it seems that the family was more willing to open up and ask the tough questions, yet were still respectable. Jason provided heartfelt answers, however I feel as if because he is the stable guy that has been married previously and has raised a child, he has the advantage with the Pappas family.

Next comes Jesse, a more off the cuff guy whom DeAnna has fallen for. Her family, while more traditional, had trouble believing in his reasoning for loving her. Perhaps this was because of what he looked like (someone that DeAnna typically does not go for). However, I was annoyed that they doubted him because he was nervous. In my personal experiences, when a guy is nervous, it means he cares and his entire body shows you that.

As a critique of the way the show was taped, I don't like that it seems as if they are looking at the camera throughout the experience. I would like to see a more candid perspective. While it's natural to look at a camera in your face, every time it happens, it makes me feel as if I'm watching something that isn't real. Or maybe it isn't? That's for you to decide!

Jeremy, a bachelor who did not receive a rose last week, has one last chance to talk to DeAnna. What was complicated was when she explained that he was everything she wanted in a guy, but she didn't choose him. While not knocking her completely, if someone gave me that explanation on why I wasn't chosen to remain with her, I wouldn't feel satisfied nor happy. This was similar to his reaction after speaking with her. Their interaction was intense, however that doesn't excuse the fact that she didn't provide closure, something she herself said she needed in her situation last season when her heart was broken during the finale.

I agree and that was wrong and hurtful

Thanks for all the wonderful comments ladies. I finished this article BEFORE the after the rose special and felt a little more comfortable with her decision. They were and are in love....however I don't think she provides the men she didn't choose very viable reasoning, something she herself bashed Brad for not doing with her.

Ok, I've watched several different seasons of both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. EVERY TIME the editors make you believe that the other person is the better one and that the guy/girl will pick her/him. I wasn't able to watch the finale when it aired so I caught up on it tonight but not until I accidentally saw the results in an Internet article. So, having been spoiled, I watched the finale shows with a different perspective. I think she loved Jesse but loved loved certain things about Jason. She obviously had that certain chemistry with Jesse and I do think it goes beyond lust. I hope it does. I wish them well and hope they can ride the bumps of life and be a real couple instead of one that only lasts until the studio lights are turned off.

I have seen other comments on other sites bashing her choice. I think she made a good choice. This is her life, not ours. She shouldn't be living our fairy tale. Maybe since she chose someone other then who everyone thought was "right" for her, this one will work out. Other then Trista and Ryan, no one else has really made it. I agree, Jesse was very nervous. most potential beaus are. Jason just had prior practice.

She knew, ABC just made it look like she was uncertain. She really led Jeremy and Jason on, and continually throws Graham under the bus any opportunity she gets. I no longer like her. She is brash and brazen. After seeing her father, I can see where she gets it from.

If it were me, I would have picked Jason. Still, I think Jesse is a better match for DeAnna. They have better physical chemistry and thei body language is more relaxed. They are also at similar stages in their lives. Jesse grew on me this season. He's more than just a free spirit. He has shown that he is truly committed and devoted. If he seemed uncertain and nervous during the family interactions, I think it had more to do with nerves and inexperience.
