T. Boone Pickens Unveils PickensPlan.com Energy Web Site Today

Obama, McCain? Are You Listening?

While both presidential candidates are considering their respective futures with respect to the voting public and then Congress, perhaps they should be considering what is bound to be an encounter ... no, perhaps a confrontation with T. Boone Pickens and his Web site, PickensPlan.com.

First, you should know that that Pickens is not some "crazy" who simply mouths off. He is a Texas oilman who through savvy business dealings has become a rich and routine contributor to conservative politics;

 in fact, he is somewhat legendary.

Pickens doesn't feel that either presidential candidate is taking the dependence on foreign oil seriously enough so, he is going to force the issue. You can expect to see his face this fall as much as that of the candidates; how?

Today Pickens is going to launch a Web site, PickensPlan.com, and, intends on making it the largest public campaign ever with respect to his plan for reducing dependence on foreign oil by at least one-third within 10 years.

According to Pickens we are paying 700 billion dollars per year to other countries and it is hurting our nation. In his opinion, the candidates aren't making it enough of a priority so he is going to force them to by use of his Web site which promotes his plan.

Pickens' plan is to use America's natural wind power to offset the lack of natural oil resources. The plan by insiders is well received and, as indicated, Pickens has the money to bankroll the site to promote his plan. In Pickens' words "Neither presidential candidate is talking about solving the oil problem; so we're going to make 'me talk about it."

Generally speaking, as will be shown on the video at the Web site, Pickens will describe the use of wind power as providing interim energy while interim strategies are developed; so-called "blueprints for the future".

T. Boone Pickens has a way of getting things done. He is a successful money man and he has proven that he is tough; he plays with the "big boys". He knows his way around politics and he knows his way around media campaigns. His idea sounds worth listening to. He obviously is a dynamic thinker.

Mr. Pickens, We must have a leader in this effort. Just because leaders with the title should take interest doesn't mean they do or will in reality. It is what it is. I applaud you for seeing the reality. For stepping up to the plate and offering your leadership. Well accomplished and experienced leadership that we need. Often new or innovative ideas and solutions need to be tested by fire. Please keep up the fight. It is a process. But success in becoming energy independant, corporately, but individually too, will be worth it. How can I help in my area. Wind farms are the alternative source of energy being proposed in our central Pennsylvania area. I would love to be a part of this effort. Susan R. Torrey

Mr. Pickens, My son Jack J. Nations, was a millwright for Brown and Root out of Houston. He has some ideas on wind mill energy and the construction of these windmills, which would be a lot more efficient to build and run. He is already talking to Millwright unions in Arkansas and they seem to like his ideas. Would you please be interested in contacting him . It is a more effecient way of constructing them, etc. If you are interested in discussing his ideas, I can give you his telephome number. txbelle@valornet.com Aq

Mr. Pickens in direct address- thank you for the ease of access. I have chosen sides in the past- now it's simply more important to the world to chose. The debate was lacking on both sides. The world not just America needs the greatest leadership that history will produce. It seems to me that an individual could come along and be a force for good and would set our world and humanity on a course for permanent and lasting change. Neither of the men I saw tonight are that man. Qualifications for this job are first and for most to truely show obedience to the American public with thoughts about the overall health of humanity. It is not enough to think green and about environment but to consider and take action about the health of all issues-/ Economy at home/ Economy of the world. The health of all people and the planet. It is paramount for the up and down cyclical action of of all major systems that affect us all to settle forever. In the eighties the Japanies built better cars and we bo
