We have a lot of friends starting from our neighborhood with whom we play in the park. Do you remember that in your childhood your mother takes you to the park and you come across childrens of your age. You play with them and some of them become your friends and some of them your best friend. The best friend is someone with whom you play and talk a lot. You play football, cricket, ludo, etc. with him. But you will see that these friends hardly be on your side when you need them. A sign of selfishness and distrust is there and a chance/eagerness to beat you spoils the so-called friendship. This happens in your school and college life. In this way, a friend suddenly turns out to be a deadly competitor. During the time of crisis, it is your parent who is on your side as a friend, philosopher and guide. Your parent helps you to grow up paying all your school fees. You remember...your mother sacrificed her valuable time to teach you and help you complete school lessons. In a poor family, a mother takes less food and gives more to her son. She sacrifices her pleasure, if necessary, to bring you up.

Nowadays, school expenses are so high! If you do not enroll in a good school, you will not get proper education. So your parents try to give you the best schooling. For meeting up the educational expenses, your mom and dad work hard giving extra time so that more money comes and they can spend in your education. In these days, proper education is important and other than that you need to learn something like music, dance, sports, etc. In my life, I learnt playing synthesizer, harmonica, swimming, recitation, etc. I remember my mom providing me lunch when I used to study at St. Thomas' Church School and she made me sleep and then we used to go out for the swimming lessons at Howrah Rifle Club. This club was also at Howrah Maidan. My dad was not at home. My mom used to take me to the swimming classes. She used to sit there. Think of the sacrifice, she could not take a nap for my swimming lessons which used to carry on for 2 hours.
