In a small Texas town close to the border and miles from any major city is a mystery that has scientists confused and skeptics annoyed. Marfa Texas, population a little more the 2400 hundred has tourists flocking to the area by the thousands. They come
Marfa, TX 79843
United States of America to see the unexplained "Marfa Lights" also known as the "ghost lights" which can be seen after dark off U.S. Route 67 and U.S. Route 90. In 1883, a local rancher first reported the lights but it was not until 1957 that they were documented.
Skeptics write them off as car headlights but you would have to very bold to say that to a Marfa resident. These lights have contributed to their economy and put this tiny Texas town on the map. As a witness to these lights I can say they do exist and are not look like anything I have ever seen. The lights are a large round shape in several colors. They appear and then disappear, move into one another and then divide as if they are performing. If you are a paranormal fan and want to see something truly unexplainable then these lights are a must see. Many scientists and skeptics have tried to explain them but few have gotten close enough to have a explanation that is not a guess or theory. They are far off in the distance over the Mitchell Flat which is an undeveloped terrain, extremely hard to cross and is also private property.
The best viewing sites are marked with road signs and don't be surprised if have a hard time finding a parking place. Be sure to bring a camera because many have caught them on film.
