If you suffer from acne, you know how frustrating it can be. Even if you only get a pimple or blackhead here and there, it can make you feel self-conscious about the way you look. If you do not have the money to spend on expensive acne face masks, then you are in luck, because there are some alternatives. Making a homemade acne face mask is easy to do and much cheaper than buying a product such as Pro-active or a Neutrogena product.

Acne face masks should cleanse your pores and your skin, but should not be too harsh on your face. Whether you know it or not, your skin on your face is very sensitive and needs to be treated with care. Here are some homemade acne face masks that will help get rid of your acne and make your skin feel clean and smooth. Remember that not all masks will work the same on your acne and skin. People have different skin types and you may have to try a couple different acne masks before you find one that works for your skin.

Baking Soda Acne Face Mask

Ingredients:
Baking soda
water

1. Mix together a little bit of baking soda with water until it forms a paste.
2. Wash you face off with water and pat dry.
3. Apply a thin layer of the baking soda paste onto your face and go about your business for approximately 20 minutes.
4. After approximately 20 minutes, wash off the acne mask with warm water and pat your face dry. If your skin responds well to this homemade acne face mask, then use this it 2-3 times a week.

Rosewater Acne Face Mask

Ingredients:
Rosewater
Cucumber paste

1. Pour some rosewater into a bowl ( you do not need that much, as just enough to cover your face) and then add equal parts of cucumber paste to the water and mix.
2. The mixture should look like a paste. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for approximately 20 minutes.
3. Wash off the acne face mask with warm water and pat your face dry with a towel.
4. You can use this homemade acne face mask every other day if it works for your skin.

Yogurt Face Mask

Ingredients:
Yogurt (not low fat or nonfat) approximately 1 tbsp, at room temperature
Honey (microwave so it is more runny) approximately 1 tbsp.
A drop of fresh lime juice

I have the worst skin possible. I've tried every type of acne product imaginable (Proactive, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, etc.) and it works on my skin for a couple of weeks and then my skin becomes immune to it in a way. The only thing that has ever really worked is Differin but it dried out my skin horribly. After that I referred to my doctor once more for a prescribed pill for my skin, and it worked perfectly, but unfortunately I was allergic to it and it caused me to get sick. (I'm so unlucky) I currently have the baking soda and water mask on because those are the tonly products I have right now to make a home made mask it kind of burns and it feels like its drying my skin a lot, but I guess it's too late now and I'm hoping it works since I read in a comment that it does. Thanks for the facts! (:
