1) Dr. Duke's Essential Herbs (13 vital herbs you need..)
James A. Duke, Ph.D., writes in a chatty, readable style yet still manges to include a ton of information, including a "Cheaper by the Duke's Dozen" of conditions, the standard pharmacy pill prescribed for the condition and its cost, and the herb which will also treat that condition, and its cost.

2) Ageless
This is Suzanne Somers' new book on menopause and hormones. She has the money and the clout to get the best information out there, and when she does, she writes about it! An excellent book for anyone who is facing menopause issues. If you are male, you probably have someone in your family who is, or has already gone through menopause and could use this information.

3) What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause
John R. Lee, M.D. wrote this book, which is available in paperback. This is the Dr. Lee you see mentioned on so many bio-identical hormone cream sites. When they say "he wrote the book on it," HE DID!

4) The Crazy Makers
Carol Simontacchi blows the whistle (and the lid) off the subject of our U.S. food industry: how the food industry is destroying our brains and harming our children. The book is laced with solid health helps, not just "don'ts." After laying out the facts, and citing the studies those facts are based upon, the author shares recipes for  nutritious snacks and meals. There is a great deal of information on how to get healthy, and stay healthy.

5) The Yeast Connection
If you think that women are the only ones who have troubles with "yeast," think again! Everyone has some yeast in their bodies, and it is only when it overgrows its healthy boundaries that it causes problems. Dr. William G. Crook wrote what has become the standard on yeast overgrowth problems. The Yeast Connection Cookbook is also available. There are many other volumes available on yeast (molds, mildews and fungal infections in the body). Do a Google search to see others.

Takeaways

  • GLA in mother's milk helps develop healthy babies-Spirulina is the only other whole food with GLA!
  • When you don't have enough Vitamin C, you won't have enough collagen.
